ABSTRACT
The article reports that for the week ended May 15, 2005, "The New York Times" paperback nonfiction list continues to be dominated by older titles. Half of the top 10 books on the list have been on the list for over a year, and only two books have been on the list fewer than 12 weeks. The newest titles on the list are Thomas Frank's post-election postmortem, "What's the Matter With Kansas?," which is ranked number 9; "Truth & Beauty," by Ann Patchett, and "Blue Blood," by Edward Conlon, ranked number 12 and number 14, respectively.
