This article reports that more than 150 anglers from 26 states made the trip to Lake Conroe, Conroe, Texas. This first stop on the 2005 Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) Bass Tour, a BASS Sanctioned Event which was hosted by Texas PVA on April 1-3, 2005. To be part of this event, nine boat partners traveled from California, Kansas, Ohio, Georgia, Florida, and Alabama, this shows the PVA Bass Tour's strength, growth, and support. The fishing on the bank was about as tough as it gets, but Eric Payton of Garland, Texas landed a 4.97-pound catfish that gave him and his teammate, Jay Segarra, the Texas PVA Bass Tournament Bank Team Competition crown.
