ABSTRACT
This article reports that ink producers are signaling further increases in the pipeline due to substantial rises in the cost of raw materials. The British Coatings Federation is monitoring the upward movement of prices in the chemicals sector and particularly chemicals such as nitrocellulose, acrylic acid, acetic acid and titanium dioxide. It believes the international ink manufacturing industry was hit by euro 20m of increased raw material costs in 2004 and this trend has continued into 2005.
