The article presents a quiz related to symptoms of petechial rash and high fever. It describes the case of a 31-year-old man hospitalized with a mysterious rash associated with high fever as well as severe headaches, malaise and muscle aches of three days' duration. A petechial rash was clearly visible on the wrists and in the crural folds. The man had been hiking in the mountain woods of Montana just days before his return home to Toledo, Ohio and the onset of the fever.
