CMP goes global with Web sites

This article reports on the launch of the Web sites of CMP Media readied its launch of Web sites in 1999. CMP Media, making its first major global move in online media, is getting ready to launch sites targeting resellers in 13 markets. CMP and its partners will build local-language versions of ChannelWEB, a 2-year-old site targeting U.S. resellers of computer products. The password-protected site has more than 70,000 registered users. CMP has licensed or developed 18 international editions of Computer Reseller News, the biggest U.S. reseller publication, over the past four years. Now it is following up with local versions of ChannelWEB.
