ABSTRACT
The present study examines the impact of alternate sources of information on several facets of compensation satisfaction. In particular, satisfaction with raises and with the structure/administration of the system are examined. Those persons who learned of changes in the pay system from co-workers were significantly less satisfied with the facets under consideration than were individuals with other information sources. Areas requiring future research and implications for managers are discussed.
