This article focuses on convenience store retailers. Retailers continue to find new ways to automate duties previously done manually both at store level and headquarters. Scanning, electronic ordering and automated billing has changed the face of retail. It is a more proactive approach to recruitment rather than the passive way of starting to recruit when one needs to fill a position. Utilizing a Web-based approach provides a larger candidate pool and 24-hour access to apply. It's a move more and more convenience store operators are exploring.
