ABSTRACT
The article informs that Blockbuster Inc. warned shareholders Friday that it will have no choice but to pay embattled chairman-CFO John Antioco $54 million in severance if he is booted from the top board seat by corporate raider Carl Icahn. Icahn is seeking a seat for himself, along with seats for veteran entertainment executives Ed Bleier and Strauss Zelnick. Antioco said last week that he remains committed to Blockbuster, but he would have to resign if he lost the chair post. Blockbuster made the disclosure that Antioco would be owed $54 million in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
