ABSTRACT
This article presents several historic events that happened in the financial planning sector of the U.S. In 1782, the first commercial bank in America opens for business. The Dow Jones breaks 100 for the first time in 1906. While in 1934, the Gold Reserve Act was passed. In 1984, AT&T is broken up into Baby Bells. And in 1991, Dow Jones makes one of its largest single-day gains in market history when U.S. President George Bush orders military action against Iraq.
