ABSTRACT
This article reports on a meeting of the Faculty Committee of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport held as of May 2005 in Great Britain. It was reported during the meeting that the colloquium put on by Paul Fawcett in Leeds on the issue of barriers to integration had been particularly successful. It was agreed that the Passenger Transport Forum would be chaired by Jonathan Cowe, taking over from Colin Crawford. Meanwhile, representatives of the Road Charging and Capacity Forum met with the British Department for Transport to discuss issues surrounding a road pricing system. The Strategic Rail Forum has responded to a strategy consultation by the Office of Rail Regulation and to one on policy framework for investments. John Carr has taken over from Paul Mathews as chairman of the Bus Forum. Freight Forwarding Forum and Transport Planning Forum each held meetings.
