ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the education for those who are interested in exploring their potential in the fiber medium. Quilt Surface Design Symposium offers not only classes related to quilts such as composition, dyeing, and surface design classes, but also fiber workshops in subjects such as clothing. This year's faculty are from the US. the Netherlands, and South Africa. Classes are broken down into two weekend and two five-day long sessions. Any number of these classes may be taken while the symposium is in progress. There are offerings for students on all levels, from novices to experienced textile artists who utilize the master classes offered.
