ABSTRACT
The article discusses about the SPAA Market in Australia. In only its second year, SPAA Mart, the feature film market, has cemented its reputation as a highlight of the annual SPAA conference, and has already made a significant impact upon the financing of market-ready Australian feature film projects. SPPAA Mart is a pitching market, a pre-market like those of Pusan, Cinemart and No Borders, to name a few. Pat Ferns of the Banff TV Festival, who carried out a pitch-honing session on the first day of this year's market, believes that selective pre-markets are more and more replacing the markets such as miffed as the places for doing serious business.
