ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a novelist Kurt Vonnegut. Born in 1922, Vonnegut published his first novel in 1952 and has since become one of the most highly regarded writers of his generation. He is the author of more than 25 books, including a play and several nonfiction books. He is primarily a satirist. The article also presents an excerpt from "Deer in the Works," a story that typifies Vonnegut's depiction of absurdity in corporate America. Well, it's the average salary curve for men with college educations in the company.
