ABSTRACT
The article reports that on July 6, 2004, 50 years and a day after pop singer Elvis Presley recorded his first album, singer Jerry King and the musical group Rivertown Ramblers recorded their second music album--"Out of This World," which comes out in October 2004--at the legendary Sun Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. Since the group formed in April 2003, their devotion to 1950s style rockabilly--a style of music that bass player Jeremiah Brockman describes as blending country, rock and blues so thoroughly that the result is like "a black man shaking a white man's hand"--has earned them six or seven shows a month across the Midwest.
