ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the findings of Yosawich, Pepperdine, Brown & Russoll/Yankelovich Partners 2005 National Leisure Travel Monitor which said that the percentage of adult American consumers who have taken at least one overnight trip of more than 75 miles from home has risen to the highest level observed since 1999. According to this popular barometer of American travel habits, 58 percent of American adults took such a trip during the past 12 months.
