ABSTRACT
The article reports that Hershey Foods Corp. has received general media attention about its program, including its increased requirements and financial rewards. Hershey's Top Performer Program in convenience stores financially rewards retailers for carrying a certain number of SKUs and use of in-store displays. The more SKUs retailers carry, and the more shippers and countertop merchandisers they accept into their stores, the higher the rebate. There are several tiers to the program, with this year's program being a bit higher in its requirements than last year. The top level of the program asks for 79 items, eight shippers, and four counter units for an 8 percent year-end rebate of the participating retailer's total Hershey volume sold.
