The article presents statistical information on monthly global M&A volume as of April 11, 2005. Global M&A activity from January 1, 2005 to April 11, 2005, is 7,785 deals. Global M&A activity from January 1, 2004, to April 11, 2005, is 8,833 deals. It also provides information on global target volume by selected industry as of April 11, 2005. There were 619 deals from January 1, 2005 to April 11, 2005, in media and entertainment.
