ABSTRACT
The article reports on the business activities of the junk bond market. The Junk bond market may not be back to its old self after a major pullback in March that put the brakes on a two-and-a-half-year rally. But more than $1.2 billion in offerings for three oil-and-gas companies last Wednesday and Thursday--plus a new-issue pipeline filling up with healthy-sized deals--point to a resiliency that participants could only hope for a couple of weeks ago. The fear of other investment grade companies, such as SunGord Data Systems Inc., being forced into the high-yield market by leveraged buyouts also unsettled investors.
