ABSTRACT
This article presents rankings of residential lending companies in the U.S. on the basis of total loan amount, as of April 1, 2005. First position is held by Countrywide Financial Corp. with 114,858 total number of purchase loan cases. Second position is held by Wells Fargo Bank with 74,597 total number of cases. Some other companies included in the list are: Bank of America, Greenpoint Mortgage Corp., ABN Amro Mortgage Group Inc., and others.
