The article focuses on apartment market in Atlanta, Georgia. In its October 2004 Apartment Research Report on Atlanta, Encino, California-based Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co. says the market is likely to improve in 2005 after hitting bottom in 2004. In other favorable factors, apartment development activity is down for the third consecutive year, and the metro vacancy rate is holding steady at around 11 percent. Even so, competition for tenants is high and concessions are still being offered. Atlanta's turnaround is definitely gathering steam as the metro area continues to attract a steady influx of people and companies.
