ABSTRACT
The article focuses on material exploration habits of children and discusses its implication on their creative ability. Materials include boxes, scarves, egg crates, plastic containers, a tent or play tube, big crayons and paper. Parents should sit their baby on a large sheet of paper with some chunky crayons and let her make sweeping marks and scribbles. Soon she will learn to hold onto the crayon and exert pressure while moving it across the paper, which helps develop fine motor skills. Older babies love to crawl in, out, under and around.
