ABSTRACT
The article discusses how your loving touches help your baby grow emotionally and intellectually. Touch is a crucial sense for babies, and your baby thrives on your loving touch. In fact, touching can make a difference in your baby's brain size: babies who are rarely touched have brains 20 percent smaller than babies who are touched a lot. Research has also shown that when nurses gently massage premature babies several times a day, those babies gain weight faster and are released from the hospital several days earlier than those they had not massaged.
