The article presents information about Steve O'Dwyer, a sales director at Island Cliff, a beds and bedroom furniture manufacturer and importer. After school he spent 11 years in the supermarket industry but became disillusioned and joined Allied Carpets as a store manager. He was sent on a secondment to sister company Maples to help with year-end activity and this became a permanent position. After three years in homewares, he returned to furniture, joining forces with Chris Peddar again at Furnitureland Inc., as beds and bedroom buyer. He left Furnitureland and joined Courts as a buyer for six months before its demise.
