ABSTRACT
The article focuses on a loyalty scheme for customer retention. It has been argued that by retaining just 5% more of its customers a company could almost double its profits. TescoClubcard is Great Britain's most popular retail loyalty scheme with 10 million customers owning a card and the retail giant becoming one of the most trusted brands in Great Britain. Loyalty programmes are known for some of their more obvious effects--such as increasing spend, and better retention. They can also achieve other things that impact a company's business strategy, operational efficiency, human resources policy and more.
