Although upholstered fabrics in retail showrooms are primarily enmeshed in neutral and earth coloured weaves, some wholesalers love to see a more welcome reception towards cotton and linen prints and patterns. At London Design Week, Chelsea Harbour showrooms were encouraging this concept, willing it to happen by offering dramatic displays of colour. Designers Guild pushed contemporary prints and bright colours in a mix of bold and understated stripes. INSET: New pattern of design.
