The article reports that Minerva PLC's 85 members are to grow their sales volumes over the next year and will target higher margins through unbranded imports. The conclusion follows meetings between the buying group's Northern and Southern divisions, and trips to furniture fairs in Malaysia and China. Members agreed that Ikea had helped to corner the volume market and would continue to grow its market share. Members sharing containers could offset the threat from imported furniture. A member of the company said that nobody is banking on increases, so what the Minerva members are doing, is looking for bigger margins.
