Strongbow gets new life

The article reports that William Bartlett Fine Furniture has sold its Strongbow brand and designs to fellow cabinet company Rosjohn Furniture, which intends to move production to Romania. Rosjohn has sourced its Regency, Georgian and Victorian reproduction furniture from Romania since 2003. It will resume production of the Strongbow ranges from a plant in northern Romania, although this will be not be done by the same company that produces Rosjohn's products. William Bartlett will close at the end of the month, it put the Strongbow brand on the market in December after deciding it could no longer sustain five years of losses in the face of increasing overseas competition.
