ABSTRACT
This article presents information about the book "The Complete Guide to Zoning: How Real Estate Owners and Developers Can Create and Preserve Property Value," by Dwight Meriam. Dwight Merriam has written a wise handbook on zoning strategies and tactics. Merriam, FAICP, is a former president of the American Institute of Certified Planners and a land-use attorney in Connecticut. His book is aimed at the public, but professional planners and lawyers can also benefit from Merriam's matter-of-fact advice about how to seek zoning permissions, how to negotiate and when to go to court. And for planning students, the book offers a straightforward account of life in the trenches of zoning warfare.
