ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the main messages to emerge from last season's dose response trials in wheat, and expert advice to help to determine the optimum fungicide doses and combinations this year. Despite widespread high levels of resistance to strobilurins, most products still gave a degree of control when applied alone and generally improved disease control and yield when applied in mixture with azoles. Most azoles controlled it at very low doses, well below those needed to control septoria. Prothioconazole is one of the most effective azoles, and dimoxystrobin is also highly active.
