Mayor Buddy Dyer was suspended from office by Governor Jeb Bush March 11, 2005 after he was indicted by a grand jury for allegedly paying a consultant to collect absentee ballots, a felony violation of state election laws. The article also reports that Governor of Kentuky, Ernie Fletcher signed into law a budget bill for fiscal 2004-06 that includes almost $2 billion of bonds for projects throughout the state.
