ABSTRACT
The article reports that Saint Louis based National Benevolent Association (NBA) has asked the bankruptcy court to extend until May 16, 2005 a March 30, 2005 deadline to close on the sale of its senior living and health care facilities which will generate the funds needed to repay the notfor-profit's $220 million of tax-exempt debt. NBA would still move forward with a March 30, 2005 closing if regulatory approval is in hand on nine of its facilities. The extension provides the organization with additional flexibility should it not have the required approvals by that time.
