ABSTRACT
The article discusses the impact of the U.S. national strategy on the behavior of the Arab states. Are the U.S. demands having any response from the Arab states? Special attention has been given to the behavior of the Arab states as a response to the U.S. demands. How the U.S. would like to see the Arab world behave? What are the main criteria that the Arab states have to follow in order to meet the U.S. standards? More importantly, how these Arab procedures will affect security in the Arab world namely in the Arab Gulf states. The paper concentrates on one important U.S. demand: democracy and political change.
