This paper gives a short explanation of the motivation for our experimental glaucoma surgery with silicone rubber setons and a description of a number of research phases of fistulizing eye operations in combination with these scions. This research is conducted in the hope of finding a surgical method to establish permanent drainage in glaucoma oases, where all hitherto known medical and surgical treatments were unsuccessful.
