ABSTRACT
The art of treating varicose veins is not as easy as it looks on the surface. Dissension of opinion is widespread. No method is 100 per cent curative. The disease is endogenous, prone to recurrence and needs continuous medical supervision throughout life in many instances. The road to success has many pitfalls into which the uninitiated may stumble if he violates the basic rules of the art. Some of these are discussed in this representations.
