1. Inverted free grafts from the small bowel replacing segments of either superior or inferior vena cava were 100 per cent successful in this series of dogs for periods of up to 12 months. 2. Free grafts of small bowel replaced without inverting the graft universally thrombose as has been the experience of the other investigators utilizing other graft material.
