ABSTRACT
The conventional roentgenographic demonstration of anatomic defects within the pancreas is unreliable. The possibility of demonstrating the intrapanereatie vascu-larity became a theoretical possibility with the advent of selective arterial catheteri-zation in 1948. However, the practical implementation of pancreatic angiography as a routine clinical diagnostic tool has been difficult to achieve. A careful review of the world literature on pancreatic arteriography2 inspired us to evaluate and compare all approaches, which led to the eventual development of an improved prac-tical method for visualizing intra- and pancreatic vascularity.
