ABSTRACT
This article presents information on the top and least performing magazines in the U.S. in 1998. Seventeen increased its advertising pages during the year 7.1 percent to 1,404. Circulation in the second half fell 5.9 percent to 2,415,727, with its subscriptions down 8.5 percent to 1,662,399 and newsstand up 0.5 percent to 753,418. On the other hand, YM turned in especially remarkable year-over-year advertising page growth for the year. Pages were up 16.9 percent to 663, according to the Publishers Information Bureau.
