ABSTRACT
This article focuses on a study which finds out the status of platelets in complicated and uncomplicated diabetes mellitus. The study was carried out on 30 patients with diabetes mellitus of more than 5-years duration, from whom 15 patients were selected having one or more vascular complications, in addition, 15 healthy volunteers served as controls. While selecting these patients, those consuming drugs known to affect the platelet functions, such as aspirin, indomethacine, phenylbutazone, clofibrate or anticoagulants, were excluded from the study.
