ABSTRACT
Reports on the difficulties faced by physicians regarding the transmission of ideas in the field of angiology. Contentions over the meaning and use of a number of controversial words; Analogy between words that describe blood vessel size by functional rather than by structural properties; Appropriateness of the term microcirculation in describing the hemophoretic phenomena in blood circulation; Recommendation for the necessity to use correct definitions and correct use of the terms microcirculation and histangic circulation to avoid further terminologic misunderstandings.
