ABSTRACT
This article presents information on Transport for London's (TfL) head of legal Betty Morgan who has quit the government agency. Morgan, who is high-profile general counsel Fiona Smiths deputy, led TfL's legal department for a while last October 2004 after Smith took six months' extended leave. Smith returned to her role earlier this year. A TfL spokesperson confirmed that Morgan is leaving to pursue interests outside law. TfL is advertising externally for a successor, who will also take over the responsibility for TfL's secretariat function, including governance and compliance.
