ABSTRACT
The article presents a study on the use of peripheral circulatory mechanisms to regulate cardiac performances in the U.S. Outflow resistance is a factor regulating cardiac performance and is made up of many factors including arterial compliance, peripheral resistance, blood viscosity and inertia. On the other hand, in acute myocardial infarction, there is evidence that vasodilators might reduce infarct size by decreasing myocardial oxygen requirements.
