ABSTRACT
Various aspects of advanced methods for angiography of the upper limb are described. They consist of: 1. Direct puncture of the brachial artery with a needle-cannula. 2. Two successive injections (hiring which 10 exposures are obtained with stereoscopic positions of the x-ray tube during both series. 3. An arrangement to record the change of the color of the skin during and after the contrast injection. 4. An arrangement for cinerecording with image-intensifier or roentgen television. 5. Emulsions of a high degree of resolution are used to obtain microangiograms with enlargements up to 25 times.

Femoral artery pressure contour can be measured directly by percutaneous needle puncture and may be a useful indicator of proximal vessel stenosis. Pressure waveform in 53 limbs was compared with radiological appearance of the aorto-iliac segment. Forty-one limbs were graded angiographically as...

Intra-arterial injections during CT scan examinations are a rare occurrence in day-to-day radiology practice but are of potential significance when they do occur. They render an imaging study non-diagnostic, and for imaging techniques like CT scan, expose patient to undue radiation dose. Equally...
