ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to ascertain if any easily derived objective index was available to determine the proper digitalizing dose in man. Various techniques were used to measure the positive inotropic response to digitalis glycosides. These included measurements of the brachial artery dp/dt, the duration of the phases of ventricular systole and changes in the force of contraction. Analysis of these parmeters proved them to be unreliable as a guide for objective measurement of digitalization.

This article focuses on a study related to developers for TLC of triterpene glycosides. Color reactions are used to detect triterpene glycosides on TLC plates because pure triterpene glycosides are colorless compounds. Data contains a list of reagents that we propose for detecting glycosides of...

Abstract: We report a case of a 75-year-old male patient with an asymptomatic aneurysm of an aberrant right subclavian artery (ARSA). Timely elective therapy of this entity is indicated due to the high risk of rupture. Because of the patient''s reduced physical state, we performed an...

Three new steroidal glycosides, cyanoauriculosides F, G and H (1-3), were isolated from the roots of Cynanchum auriculatum (Asclepiadaceae) along with two known steroidal derivatives. On the basis of spectroscopic analysis and chemical methods, their structures were identified as...

Abstract  This examination of brachial artery (BA) differential characteristic impedance, ΔZ c, illustrates that changes in Z c can occur from changes in either BA wall stiffness (Young’s modulus, E) and/or its diameter, D. Furthermore, we assessed how changes in both E and D...
