ABSTRACT
In the absence of stress, blood vessels of intact adrenal glands were more completely filled with Thorotrast contrast medium than were those of regenerated adrenocortical tissue. After exposure to stress, intact glands-showed no obvious increase in Thorotrast filling, whereas regenerated tissues exhibited considerable increase. In intact glands the major concentration of contrast, medium was shifted from the central to the peripheral regions as the result of stress. Thorotrast was homogoneously dispersed, however, throughout the entire mass of both regenerated transplants or enucleated glands under all conditions.

Background: Memantine attenuates heart stress due cold stress, however, no study focused its effects on liver and adrenal gland. We evaluated its effects on lipid depletion in adrenal gland and glycogen depletion in liver of rats exposed to cold stress. Methods: Male rats divided into 4 groups:...

Experiments were performed in chronically salt loaded rats (4 g% NaCl diet for 2 weeks) to determine whether the resetting of tubuloglomerular feedback (TGF) by a humoral inhibitor in tubular fluid is caused by a humoral factor from the adrenal glands. TGF response was assessed by measuring NGFR...
