ABSTRACT
This article states that creating a visually pleasing shopping environment can add to a convenience store's success. In the world of retail trade, the convenience store industry generally lags far behind in the consumers' eyes in terms of in-store design and display. Part of the problem with convenience retail today is that the stores are so similar and the product lines so ubiquitous, consumers have a hard time telling the difference from one convenience store to the next. Walking into a store with bright lighting, warm colors, informative signing can really set a store apart from the local corner store. INSET: Out-of-House Design.
