This article focuses on ChevronTexaco Corp. Founded in 1879, ChevronTexaco celebrated its 125th anniversary this past October, marking the path of a company that has changed in size, scope and strategic focus over its lone and successful history. The San Ramon, California-based company likely experienced its biggest change of face in 2001, when oil giants Chevron Corp. and Texaco Inc. merged to become one of the biggest energy providers in the world.
