ABSTRACT
Cites that rats with pre-existing arteriosclerosis respond differently to the myocardial-infarct inducing effects of isoproterenol compared to animals with no pre-existing arterial disease. Arterial disease of animals prior to the induction of myocardial necrosis; Increase in secretion of adrenocortical "stress" hormones; Reduction of response in the blood sugar, protein, lipid and lipoprotein levels.
