ABSTRACT
Exposure to endotoxin in vivo and in vitro, as studied by the use of the isolated, vascular, smooth-muscle technique of Bohr, indicates that the direct epinephrine-constricting effect on rabbit arterial and venous vascular smooth-muscle strips is the same preceding and after endotoxin administration. An elevation of the histamine threshold of endotoxin treated vein strips is unexplained.
