ABSTRACT
Evaluates microvascular maneuvers using early scanning electron microscopy. Use of microvascular surgery in surgical specialties such as neurosurgery, plastic and cardiac surgery; Risks associated with thrombosis for those performing microvascular anastomosis; Indications showing that the white thrombus that forms within seconds at the site of vessel injury are made up of platelet aggregates; Use of light and electron microscope to document defects in the endothelium as a cause of platelet aggregate formation.
