ABSTRACT
A 27-year-old female with an angiographically proven patent ductus arteriosus only had on auscultation a systolic murmur. Unlike other reported cases the pulmonary artery pressure was normal. The presence of minimal pulmonary artery stenosis and pulmonic stenosis as well as the patient's obesity probably altered the typical murmur of the patent ductus.
